At the 2017 Celebration Orlando, he hosted the The Last Jedi panel. During production of the 2017 film Murder on the Orient Express, Gad released several YouTube videos questioning co-star Daisy Ridley about The Last Jedi. In 2019, he released another such video ahead of the release of The Rise of Skywalker.
Gad is the husband of Ida Darvish, who portrayed common house proprietor Dara Vish in The Mandalorian.
