During the Cold War between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire, the Sith Pureblood Krannus founded a death cult that worshiped the Sith Emperor, believing that their ruler would grant them eternal life if they died in his service. Krannus and his cult attempted to detonate the power core of the prison world of Belsavis, but the Jedi Knight known as the Hero of Tython stopped the cult before the core could detonate.
