Mox was a young clone cadet who became a prisoner of the Galactic Empire shortly after the end of the Clone Wars. Along with several other cadets, Mox was transferred away from his home planet Kamino and brought to an Imperial laboratory operated by Doctor Royce Hemlock on Setron. There, samples of the clones' blood were taken for experimentation.
After the Empire lost control of an experimental weapon, called a slither vine at the facility, they abandoned it and called an orbital bombardment to eliminate all evidence of their operations there. Mox escaped with fellow clones Deke and Stak before the destruction took place.
Mox was a clone of the bounty hunter Jango Fett, created for the Grand Army of the Republic by the Kaminoans. He was a clone cadet until the rise of the Galactic Empire, at which point he and various other young clones were transferred to one of Hemlock's labs on the planet Setron. They were told that they would be getting more training but, instead the clones had samples of their blood taken to be studied and were prisoners of the Advanced Science Division under Doctor Royce Hemlock's lead. However, the Empire soon lost control of an experimental weapon, so they relocated and destroyed the facility. Mox and two other cadets, Stak and Deke, survived but were left abandoned.
Some time after the clones escaped, they found Hunter and Wrecker of Clone Force 99 in the woods outside their camp. They had arrived on Setron hoping to find Omega, who had been captured by the Empire. Initially, Mox was skeptical that Hunter and Wrecker weren't here to finish hunting them down.the Hunter asked if they could get any form of data from the lab, and Deke told them there was still a control panel that had yet to be taken over by slither vines. Mox advised against going, citing that it was too dangerous and toxic to explore. Despite Mox's warnings, Deke assisted Clone Force 99 in their mission to gather data from the deserted lab.
While Deke and the Hunter and Wrecker were gone, Stak appealed to Mox and said that they should take Hunter and Wrecker's ship and escape the planet. Although Mox initially declined, stating his admiration for Hunter and Wrecker's loyalty to their squad as well as not wanting to leave Deke behind, he eventually considered it when Stak said that if the vines destroyed the ship, they would all be stranded. He had Stak lead him to the ship and watched as Stak was able to hotwire it and get inside. However, before they could decide to take the ship and leave, Deke called for their help over comms. Mox and Stak decided to go and rescue them, flying the Havoc Marauder over the lab to rescue them. The cadets lowered cables for them to hop onto, but before Hunter and Wrecker could make it to the ship the slither vines tried to pull down the Marauder into it's mouth. Deke threw a thermal detonator into the slither vine's mouth, but it wasn't enough. Wrecker yelled at the cadets to get the whole box of detonators from the ship to throw into the slither vine. Deke, who was now safely aboard the ship helped Mox grab the box and throw it into the mouth of the slither vine. They exploded, and the slither vine retreated, allowing Stak to fly the Marauder to safety.
Finally free from their solitude on Setron, the three young clones were taken to Pabu for refuge. They later ate ice cones there. After CX-2 destroyed the Marauder, Hunter assigned Mox and Stak to evacuate Wrecker to Shep's home for treatment, while Deke was told to get AZI-3 to treat Wrecker's injuries.
Mox first appeared in The Bad Batch Season 3's second episode, "Paths Unknown." He was voiced by Daniel Logan, who voiced many clone cadets in Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
