Odla Sur was a Reesarian that married Phenlass Sur and swore a vow of companionship with the other Reesarian as part of the commitment. The pair joined the Resistance together during its war against the First Order and by 35 ABY they were both stationed in the Resistance base on the moon Ajan Kloss. Serving as both soldiers and scouts, the couple reconnoitered the outlying jungle beyond the base's perimeter using their precise senses, detecting freshwater springs though sound and scent alone. Through examination of the underbrush, the two Reesarians were also able to plot the migratory patterns of local fauna on Ajan Kloss.
In 35 ABY, Odla and Phenlass were in the base under the CR90 corvette Tantive IV when the Jedi Rey returned to base after a training session in the nearby jungle and spoke with Princess Leia Organa, leader of the Resistance. The Surs then both attended a meeting held in the base where the pilot Poe Dameron revealed to all present that the Sith Lord Darth Sidious had returned despite his apparent death during the Battle of Endor in 4 ABY. Dameron explained that Sidious was constructing a fleet on the planet Exegol that would be used to give the First Order control over the galaxy. As they listened, the couple stood together under the CR90 corvette Tantive IV and Odla placed a hand on Phenlass's shoulder while leaning in to speak to the other Reesarian.
Odla Sur had precise senses and sharp eyesight that could see in ultraviolet and infrared. As Odla and Phenlass were a bonded Reesarian pair, they were highly attuned to each others location. Odla had red skin, red hair, and blue eyes.
Odla Sur appeared in the 2019 sequel trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker. Creature performer Barbara Fadden portrayed the character as well as Fadda-Rarb Arda and Faddaff Davenspon in the film.
Concept art of Odla Sur titled "Wizard 61" was produced for the film by creature concept designer and senior sculptor Ivan Manzella. The character was not identified in the film but received a name in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary, a reference book written by Pablo Hidalgo and released alongside the film.
