Osia was a Force-sensitive male Human who served the Believers Sith cult during the last years of the Galactic Republic. Circa 21 BBY, Osia was among a team of Believers dispatched to a secret base of the Metatheran Cartel trading concern of the moon Tilnes to survey the results of a virus released by the cult within the facility. Upon arrival at the base, the cultists fell under attack from the deranged mutant Caarite Ko Bas, killing four of their party and leaving only Osia and the Believer Aris alive. Three hours later, the two Believers ambushed a group of freelance agents at the base and were defeated by them.
Osia was a Force-sensitive Human male who served the Believers Sith cult during the last years of the Galactic Republic. Circa 21 BBY, Osia was among a group of six Believers summoned to rendezvous at a bar in the floating city Tolea Biqua on the planet Genarius in preparation for an upcoming mission. Two weeks prior, the cult had staged the release of an experimental new virus fatal to the Caarite species at a secret base of the Metatheran Cartel trading concern on the moon Tilnes. Osia and his comrades were tasked with review the results of the virus on the inhabitants of the base; Osia was briefed only on the essential details of the assignment and was left unaware of how the group to communicate the strike team's findings or of the Believers' wider plans to use the virus to cripple the Metatheran Cartel.
The cultists journeyed to Tilnes aboard a starship and made their way to the Cartel facility, which was situated within a tunnel network deep beneath the moon's surface. Shortly after their arrival at the base, an electromagnetic pulse emitted from the core of Tilnes struck the facility, activating an emergency a security protocol that sealed the doors, trapping Osia and his comrades within. The Believers soon found that not all of the base's inhabitants had been killed by the virus; the Caarite Ko Bas had been transformed by the contagion into a grotesque mutant being and attacked Osia and the other cultists. Bas killed four of the slower members of their party, while Osia and the Believer Aris evaded his clutches and fled into the depths of the Cartel facility in search of a safe place to hide.
Osia and Aris took refuge inside a concealed security office and encountered there two other mutant Caarites, U and G. Through use of the Force to influence their minds and also by speaking to the mutants in their native Caarite language, the two Believers subdued the mutants and brought them under their control. Osia and Aris subsequently tried to bypass the base's security system to allow them to leave the Cartel facility, but their attempts were unsuccessful.
Three hours after Osia's arrived at the Cartel base, the heroes of Cularin–a renowned group of freelance agents–entered the facility while investigating a distress signal. Their arrival took the Believers by surprise and Osia and Aris watched on unseen as the operatives fought and overcame Ko Bas and recovered an active specimen of the viral contagion. The Believer pair resolved to prevent the operatives from leaving the base so as to ensure that knowledge of the pathogen remained a closely guarded secret.
Accompanied by U and G, Osia and Aris confronted the heroes of Cularin at the entrance to the base as the agents attempted to leave. They revealed themselves to the operatives and Osia issued an ultimatum that the agents either surrender their virus sample and leave unharmed or be killed. The heroes of Cularin refused to hand over the viral specimen and Osia and Aris attacked them while urging the two mutant Caarites to slay the agents. However, the Believers were defeated, allowing the heroes of Cularin to take the virus sample away for analysis.
A devoted adherent to the ideology of the Believers, Osia considered that death and destruction would come to the enemies of the cult. As was commonplace among the Believers, on his right shoulder he had a tattoo depicting the spire of the Sith fortress on the planet Almas.
Osia was proficient in various Force powers including the abilities to sense things, perform mind tricks, enhance his physical attributes and to heal himself and others. In addition to Basic, he could speak the language Caarite.
During his assignment to Tilnes, Osia wielded a blaster pistol and stun baton. He was also equipped with a blast helmet and blast vest, as well as a respirator to prevent him from contracting the anti-Caarite virus.
Osia was created by Morrie Mullins and featured in Caaried Away, March 2003 roleplaying adventure that formed part of RPGA's Living Force campaign and served as the first instalment of the Metatheran Caution trilogy. In the adventure, the players roleplay as the heroes of Cularin and if the player characters acquiesce to Osia's demand to hand over their specimen of the anti-Caarite virus, Osia and Aris allow the agents to depart the unhindered. After the operatives have left, two Believers then make their way through a different set of tunnels to the agents up to the surface of Tilnes and head to the cultists' starship.
If the players refuse to surrender the virus, Osia and Aris attack them and it is possible for Osia to be incapacitated or killed. If he is captured, he attempts to commit suicide by strangling himself with the Force. If the player characters succeed at preventing him from killing himself it is possible for them to persuade him to provide them information about the Believers' mission. If Osia and Aris defeat the freelance agents, they collect the viral sample and depart the base accompanied by the mutant Caarites U and G, leaving the player characters alive as the cultists had no orders to kill any non-Caarites.
