Paradise (cantina)

Paradise was a luxurious cantina located on the planet Zeltros, owned by the wealthy Hutt known as Queen Jool.

Jool had been obtaining more profits thanks to the scarcity of legal supplies during the Second Imperial Civil War, and had decided to expand her business, starting on Zeltros. A number of attractive native Zeltron males and females became frequent patrons of the cantina, as did Jool herself.

True to its name, the cantina was constructed as a lush, oasis-like "paradise," complete with lush landscaping, an indoor/outdoor bar, and a poolside cabana and lounge area; the large natural pool was always kept full and pristine by the giant, 100-foot-tall waterfalls which delivered a constant flow of water into the oasis. The daring and physically fit Zeltrons, as well as a number of other species, would occasionally dive from the top of the falls into the pool below, a feat which was liable to become somewhat competitive, especially between males; however, the multiple-story-high dive was still considered a very risky pastime, especially for the average Human, to attempt. considered too. Nevertheless, Cade Skywalker and Jariah Syn did just that, with Cade using the Force to slow their fall and lessen their impact upon the water's surface; Skywalker later remarked that his Master, Wolf Sazen, would kill him if he saw him using the Force for fun or for selfish thrill-seeking.

The pirate Rav arrived at Paradise with two of his henchmen as Skywalker, Syn and crew were partying. Queen Jool, who was also present, had just told Cade that although she loved him, his rowdiness in her cantina was becoming a liability and she needed him to keep the potential damages to a minimum. He obliged, just as he pushed one of Rav's sidekicks off the waterfall and struck the other in the neck in the pool. Upon seeing this, Rav offered Cade and his crew a mission on Wayland for one million credits.
