Ralsius Paldora (also known simply as Paldora) was a human male who served as a specialist in the Galactic Empire before deserting.
Ralsius Paldora was a specialist in the Galactic Empire. Eventually, he abandoned his duties and evaded Imperial prosecution. After deserting, Paldora made his way to the planet Takodana where he would, in exchange of safe passage off the planet and asylum, provide information to Han Solo in the form of data cubes, one for the New Republic that contained Imperial shipping routes, refueling locations, and hidden armaments, and another which contained what Solo needed to be able to get onto the planet Kashyyyk during his attempts to liberate the Wookiee homeworld.
According to Paldora, most of the information came from an Imperial officer named Rax. Following a brief skirmish with Imperial forces, the smuggler was able to successfully get Paldora offworld.
Paldora was a human male who preferred Merenzane Gold. He had a chipper attitude, and although he seemed to lack common sense, he possessed knowledge on statistics, telling Han Solo that Stormtroopers only landed about 77% of blaster shots, and that YT-1300 light freighters' hyperdrives failed 1.22 times more often than the YT-2400 light freighter model. His way of interacting with others made people commonly label him as an idiot. Despite this, he also had a snarky side, such as when he questioned Solo as to why he'd leave a data cube in a particular equipment case, even though the case closely resembled the one Solo eventually did find the cube in.
Ralsius Paldora was a character created for the 2017 video game Star Wars Battlefront II, where he was voiced by Oliver Vaquer. Writer Mitch Dyer conceived the character to be played by Vaquer after enjoying the actor's performance as Robert Lutece in the 2013 video game BioShock Infinite. The character's dialogue was written by Walt Williams.
