A conflict, or skirmish, regarding Mandalore arose when Tyber Zann chose to engage in piracy intending to forcefully acquire ships from Mandal Hypernautics.
A small fleet belonging to the Consortium appeared in the skies above the planet. They initiated an attack on a facility located on an asteroid, while simultaneously fending off attacks from the Mandalorian defenders. Once the asteroid facility was obliterated, the leader of the Mandalorian clan arrived in his personal Keldabe-class battleship, trying to halt the Consortium's fleet, but his ship was destroyed. Following a short period of pirate activity within the system, Mandal Hypernautics conceded to providing ships to the Consortium in return for ending the piracy.
