In the year 0 ABY, Tyber Zann launched pirate attacks against both Mandalore and the corporation itself. These attacks were designed to "persuade" Mandal Hypernautics into providing him with ships and advanced war machines, aiding his ambition to build an underworld empire. Shortly thereafter, Mandal Hypernautics began supplying Zann's organization with Crusader-class corvettes as a means of securing a truce.
Subsequently, even after Zann issued orders for his pirates to cease their attacks on the company, they proceeded to raid Mandal's remote shipyards. To bring an end to these raids, the company was compelled to hand over the Keldabe-class battleship and the Canderous-class assault tank to the Zann Consortium. Despite the success of the raids, Zann executed the pirate captain for his act of defiance.
The ships produced by the company became heavily utilized by Zann's Consortium, forming a substantial portion of their military strength.
