South Ridge

The South Ridge, or South Slope, was an area on the Clabburn Range of the frozen planet of Hoth. It was located immediately to the south of Echo Base, a hidden base built by the Rebel Alliance in the aftermath of the Battle of Yavin. When the Galactic Empire attacked Echo Base, the South Ridge was used as a staging area for evacuating the Rebel transports and the starfighters that were to escort them past the Imperial blockade of the system.
