Sta-Den Eekin, a male Jedi Master of the Klatooinian species, dedicated his service to the Jedi Order as the Galactic Republic neared its end. In 22 BBY, Eekin joined a 200-Jedi assault team dispatched to the planet of Geonosis. Their mission was to intervene in the scheduled execution of Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi within the Petranaki Arena, following Kenobi's capture by the Confederacy of Independent Systems. During the subsequent battle, the Klatooinian utilized his powers in an attempt to influence the minds of the massive crowd gathered in the arena, but this had no impact on the programming of the Confederate battle droids.
The character Sta-Den Eekin was initially referenced within the 2016 canon reference work, Star Wars: Complete Locations, which was published by Dorling Kindersley. In the Star Wars Legends timeline, Eekin's first mention occurred in the 2003 reference publication, Inside the Worlds of Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, authored by Simon Beecroft alongside Curtis Saxton.
Although Eekin's likeness was featured on the Petranaki arena map in Complete Locations, the character's image was of such a small size that discernible physical traits were impossible to determine.
