Star Comics was an imprint of Marvel Comics which started in 1984 and continued to publish comic books into the mid-1990s. Titles published by the imprint were aimed at younger readers and were often adaptations of children's television animated series. Titles published by the imprint included Peter Porker, The Spectacular Spider-Ham; ThunderCats; and The Get-Along Gang. Star also briefly published a comic which starred the comedian John Candy, an adaptation of his cartoon show Camp Candy.
Star Comics printed two short-lived Star Wars spin-off series, Droids and Ewoks. Both were based on the animated series of the same name. Furthermore, one issue of Muppet Babies was a Star Wars parody. The digest-sized Star Comics Magazine reprinted stories from multiple series, several including stories from Ewoks.
