Talk: Anakin Skywalker

Anakin's Canon Age

So, it looks like Anakin's age in Attack of the Clones in this article has been cited as 19 based on the fact that he's known to have been born in 41 BBY. This is a change from Legends, in which he was always said to be 20 in Attack of the Clones. However, the 41 BBY birth year seems to me to be consistent with the Legends explanation of him being born at 41.9 BBY (still less than 42 years before ANH), leaving him almost 10 in TPM and barely 20 in AotC. The 20-year-old age in AotC was also supported by various promotional materials for the film at the time it came out. I would think this could still be the intention of the story group for the canon, unless we have a source explicitly stating that he's 19 in AotC (I haven't seen one, but maybe it exists?). • Star Wars: Rogue One: The Ultimate Visual Guide says he was born 41 years "BR1/before the Rogue One mission" and is 41 years old in the movie. Star Wars: Absolutely Everything You Need to Know says he is 20 years old when he marries Padmé. Toqgers (talk) 08:42, June 24, 2020 (UTC)

Blond hair color

I've made this reversion several times now, so I want to explain in further detail than an edit summary can contain. Anakin's hair color in canon is never called "brown," but some editors have speculated that it is that color in their opinion and added it to the infobox. In canon, Anakin and Luke's childhood hair color is stated to be "blond", and as an adult it is called "light" and "dark" in shade without naming the color. Legends, it was "blond" as a child and "sandy-blond" as a young adult. Please do not change the color to something else without providing a citation for that change. :) Immi Thrax (talk) 14:23, 2 July 2021 (UTC)

Birth planet

Why is Anakin listed as being born on Tatooine even though it's stated in Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace that he and his mother moved there when he was very young? 90.213.118.8 14:05, 26 July 2021 (UTC)

Death Star

In Star Wars Episode 3, in the end scene, we see Vader, Tarkin, and the Emperor watching the Death Star. I have read the Darth Vader 2017 comic and it doesn't show that scene anywhere, so when did that scene take place. Erdan5 ( talk) 02:35, September 25, 2021 (UTC)

  • I do not believe that it has ever been firmly established. VergenceScatter (talk) 19:43, 25 September 2021 (UTC)

Darth Vader as a cultural figure

Additional item for this page: ZDOGGMD, a physician who covers hot medical topics on YouTube, has used clips with "Doc Vader" for years. https://zdoggmd.com/category/doc-vader/ My fave is about VIP medicine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=veDjxzhOY-k Should this be added to the page? If so, someone smarter than me needs to do it.

Anakin's force ghost

Do y’all think they should change Anakin's force ghost back to Sebastian Shaw and leave Hayden Christensen's eyes and part of his long hair cuz that would make Anakin look in his 40s. He’s supposed to be the same age he was when he died.

  • Hey, talk pages aren't meant to discuss the characters but only to discuss wiki editing and possible changes to the page. If you'd like to talk about Star Wars lore with fellow SW fans, you can create an account and use Wookieepedia Discussions. Cheers! LucaRoR 10:10, 18 March 2023 (UTC)

Duel with Dooku on Tythe.

A few questions: 1) Why is this article considering Dooku's phrase from the game as canonical, but the article about the planet Tythe is not? Shouldn't the site follow the same rules? 2) Even if we admit that the phrase is canonical, why is it certain that it was said BEFORE the Battle of Coruscant? (or during it?). This phrase could have been uttered in the middle of the Clone Wars, given that Dooku and Anakin fought more than once during it.

  • I'm not sure what you mean exactly, both pages include the info but don't consider the exact quote from Dooku to be canon. And it obviously has to be before Coruscant for obvious reasons. Since there's no definitive answer to when they fought, there's really no ideal place to put it Lewisr (talk) 19:39, 2 July 2023 (UTC)

Timelines

I haven't found any articles referencing Star Wars: Timelines when mentioning his birth year as 41 BBY. Can anyone who owns the book confirm if it mentions his birth? Civil Warrior (talk) 03:01, 24 July 2023 (UTC)

  • It's mentioned on page 47 in the bottom right of the page in a box with Ahsoka and Kanan's birth years '41 BBY: Anakin Skywalker—born mysteriously to Shmi Skywalker, without a father' Lewisr (talk) 03:07, 24 July 2023 (UTC)
