The Duchess was a female human who ruled over the planet Plazir-15.
The Duchess was born to a noble family on the planet of Plazir-15 that had ruled the planet for generations since it was first settled. After the fall of the Empire and the founding of the New Republic, she and a former Imperial officer, Captain Bombardier, fell in love and were wed. The couple held the first democratic elections on the planet, in which they were elected as the rulers of the planet. The Duchess and Bombardier also reprogrammed Imperial and Separatist droids to become the workers of the planet, along with the Ugnaughts. This allowed all other citizens to take part in daily recreations.
The Duchess was portrayed by Lizzo in "Chapter 22: Guns for Hire," the sixth episode of the Disney+ television series The Mandalorian's third season, which was released on April 5, 2023. The character's title was first mentioned in the caption of the episode as "The Dutchess". This article assumes that the title was a misspelling of "The Duchess".
