A human officer in the Galactic Empire was stationed aboard the Sith Lord Darth Vader's Venator-class Star Destroyer. At one point, the officer was tasked to repair Vader's TIE fighter, which had sustained damage. The officer and a repair team ultimately failed to repair the fighter, which led to the officer's demise at the hand of Vader.
At some point between 19 BBY and 14 BBY, during the Imperial Era, a human individual served as an officer in the Galactic Empire. They were stationed aboard the Sith Lord Darth Vader's Venator-class Star Destroyer and were tasked by Vader with repairing his personal TIE Advanced starfighter, which had sustained damage. The officer and a repair team attempted to restore the vessel to working order but were unsuccessful in doing so.
When the officer reported to Vader that there was an issue and they could not repair the TIE fighter, the Sith Lord choked the officer to death by using the Force due to his dissatisfaction with the officer's lack of determination, which had already been fueled by failures of two of his subordinates—Admiral Mummert and a general—shortly before. A nearby MSE-6 series repair droid, which had been attempting to prepare Vader's meditation chamber earlier, quickly removed the officer's limp body from the room and cleaned the location on the floor where the officer's body had been. The droid later met the same fate as the officers when it accidentally crashed into Vader's prosthetic left leg.
As a member of the Imperial Officer Corps, the officer wore a standard black Imperial uniform along with an Imperial kepi and a black belt, both of which featured an officer's disk on the front. The Imperial's tunic was adorned by two code cylinders in small pockets near the shoulders and a rank insignia plaque that contained three tiles.
The Imperial officer was introduced in "No Good Deed...," a mini-comic written and illustrated by Chris Eliopoulos. The mini-comic was attached to the first issue of the 2017 Star Wars: Darth Vader comic series, which was published by Marvel Comics on June 7, 2017.
