According to established lore, a T-series tactical droid was stationed on General Grievous' flagship during the period of 22 BBY, representing the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Becoming increasingly frustrated with the general's habit of treating droids poorly, this tactical droid intentionally modified the commands issued prior to the Battle of Alamass. Although the revised plan led to the army's defeat, it notably decreased the number of soldiers killed or wounded. Enraged, Grievous entered the bridge and used his lightsabers to dismantle the tactical droid. The droid's actions became widely known and were eventually celebrated by the Galactic Republic.
The droid is featured in the short story "The Droid with a Heart," which was released in 2019 as part of the Myths & Fables collection.
