Creating new articles

Hello! To understand the site's expectations, examine the formatting of your recently created articles. This will prevent other editors from needing to correct each page you contribute. Thank you, Imperators II(Talk) 11:33, January 15, 2018 (UTC)

  • Please take a look at the Layout Guide. If applicable, add infoboxes, cite sources, and include categories. Thank you-- DarthRuiz30 ( talk ) 07:54, January 24, 2018 (UTC) Again, please consult the layout guide and adhere to prior instructions, thanks --Lewisr (talk) 23:28, June 10, 2018 (UTC) Once more, review the Layout guide--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 00:00, June 11, 2018 (UTC)

Seriously, stop disregarding the Layout guide and read it--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 04:13, June 11, 2018 (UTC)

Read the Layout Guide

Ensure other editors don't have to correct your contributions by reading the layout guide. Additionally, avoid speculation; you cannot assume a planet's existence. --DarthRuiz30 (talk) 08:22, January 24, 2018 (UTC)

Videos

Hello ChrisGraslie. Please note that Wookieepedia does not permit video uploads of any kind. Ayrehead02 (talk) 19:50, January 30, 2018 (UTC)

Legends pages

Hello Chris! Please refrain from creating Legends pages for sequel trilogy subjects featured in Star Tours. The non-canon status of Star Tours does not automatically classify it as Legends. While Legends is non-canon, it represents a distinct continuity, and not all non-canon material belongs to it. Material is considered Legends only when explicitly designated as such. Thanks! - Brandon Rhea(talk) 03:55, February 1, 2018 (UTC)

Uploading

Your contributions to Wookieepedia are valued, but please consult Wookieepedia:Images, accessible via the "other policies and guidelines" link in your welcome message, to understand sourcing and licensing requirements before further image uploads. Wookieepedia's supported upload method, Special:Upload, will prompt you for this information. Wikia's alternative upload forms are not supported by Wookieepedia policy, and ignorance of upload rules is not a valid excuse. Image policy violations or falsified upload descriptions are considered vandalism and may lead to a block. Thank you. 1358 (Talk) 22:42, February 1, 2018 (UTC)

Warning

While your good-faith contributions to Wookieepedia are appreciated, please review Wookieepedia:Images, found under the "other policies and guidelines" link in your welcome message, to familiarize yourself with sourcing and licensing requirements before uploading more images. The sole supported upload method on Wookieepedia, Special:Upload, will ask you for this information. Ignoring the upload rules is not an acceptable excuse, and Wikia's non-standard upload forms are not supported under Wookieepedia policy. Continued image policy violations or false information in upload descriptions will be considered vandalism and may result in a block. Thank you.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 03:48, June 11, 2018 (UTC)

Sourcing, Read the guide

Please discontinue creating pages that do not adhere to the standards outlined in the Layout Guide. Ensure you include categories, the eras template, and correct formatting for infoboxes and text. Avoid copy-pasting or adding the IMDB or Wikipedia template if the actor/actress lacks a page on those sites. Also, review the Upload guide to prevent image deletions. Ignoring these messages may result in a block. Thanks--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 04:19, June 11, 2018 (UTC)

Need any help?

Hello Chris. It appears you've received several warnings from other users. If you require assistance in ensuring your contributions align with Wookieepedia's policies, please let me know; I'd be glad to help. I hope to prevent you from being blocked! - Brandon Rhea(talk) 05:12, June 11, 2018 (UTC)

Warning

While we appreciate good faith edits, you must become acquainted with the Manual of Style and Layout Guide. If other editors consistently need to revise your additions, and you do not attempt to review Wookieepedia's policies, a block is likely. - Cwedin(talk) 17:24, March 1, 2019 (UTC)

Warning: Uploading

While Wookieepedia appreciates all good-faith contributions, we request that you consult Wookieepedia:Images and familiarize yourself with the sourcing and licensing requirements before uploading additional images. The only supported uploading method on Wookieepedia, Special:Upload, will prompt you to enter this information. Continued violation of the image policy or falsification of any information in an upload description will be considered vandalism and will likely result in a block. Thank you. --DarthRuiz30 (talk) 04:37, April 14, 2019 (UTC)

Copy-pasting

Do not duplicate content from Legends articles into canon articles. Your addition to R7-A7 was directly copied from the Legends article, with minimal changes. If you wish to add content, rewrite it completely--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 05:34, January 8, 2020 (UTC)

For example, observe this. Thank you.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 09:06, January 11, 2020 (UTC)

  • Hello, thank you, and I apologize for that. I am editing with the visual editor and was unaware that the link was being formatted in that manner. I will remember that going forward. Also, thank you for your patience with me. I have received numerous messages and warnings in the past, and despite recent errors, I believe I am improving overall.-- ChrisGraslie ( talk ) 09:24, January 11, 2020 (UTC) Not a problem, I suggest switching from Visual Editor to Source Editor. It's quite user-friendly and can be changed in your Preferences. We all experience difficult beginnings, but it's positive that you are learning from your mistakes. Keep up the good work. --DarthRuiz30 (talk) 09:28, January 11, 2020 (UTC)

Once more, review your edits--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 04:18, January 18, 2020 (UTC)

  • I apologize again. Thank you for pointing it out.-- ChrisGraslie ( talk ) 04:21, January 18, 2020 (UTC) No problem. It appears the Visual Editor is causing these strange formatting issues; I advise discontinuing its use and editing with the Source Editor, which allows you to view the formatting of your edits.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 04:25, January 18, 2020 (UTC) Indeed, it's peculiar. I am more accustomed to using Visual Editor on other wikis, but I will switch to Source Editor here to prevent further link issues.--ChrisGraslie (talk) 04:30, January 18, 2020 (UTC) Thanks! If you have any questions, feel free to ask.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 04:39, January 18, 2020 (UTC) One final point: ensure there's a space between the appearances and the non-canon appearances, like this. Thank you.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 04:54, January 18, 2020 (UTC) Understood, thank you.--ChrisGraslie (talk) 04:56, January 18, 2020 (UTC)

Galaxy of Heroes

You can find the relevant information here: "We will now consider Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes content as canon within subjects' respective continuities. For instance, if subject A is Legends/SWTOR, information originating in the app will be treated as canon within Legends; if subject B originates in new canon material or first appears in the app, information from the app will be treated as canon."--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 00:53, January 24, 2020 (UTC)

  • So, if I understand correctly, the game itself is non-canon, but new information presented for Canon and Legends is considered canon?-- ChrisGraslie ( talk ) 01:14, January 24, 2020 (UTC) Gameplay is not canon. Characters are canon for their respective continuity.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 01:24, January 24, 2020 (UTC)

Warning

IMDb is not a reliable source for Nicholas Ferguson; please add a suitable source. Avoid using IMDb as the sole source for an article. Thank you.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 03:42, April 4, 2020 (UTC)

  • I've added the only source I could locate; finding information about Nick Ferguson is proving difficult, and IMDb lists his only credit as Episode III. The Star Wars Canon Wiki states he's from Australia, but I couldn't confirm this. At least the article now has a source, even if it's just one. I apologize, and thank you again for your patience.-- ChrisGraslie ( talk ) 06:11, April 4, 2020 (UTC)

Donovia

Hello, Could you please indicate the page in Star Wars: The Complete Visual Dictionary, New Edition that identifies Donovia as a planet or location? The only sentence I found was, "Donovian rainmen repair signal towers in all weather conditions," which doesn't confirm its status as a location.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 04:45, April 12, 2020 (UTC)

  • I couldn't locate any additional details, so that appears to be the only mention. Even if the rainmen appear human, it's not assumed until explicitly stated, correct? I'm asking because if "Donovian" isn't a species and the rainmen are human, could it be inferred as a location?-- ChrisGraslie ( talk ) 04:55, April 12, 2020 (UTC) The name could refer to a group of people. The current article is speculative.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 04:59, April 12, 2020 (UTC) Should it be nominated for deletion until more information is available?--ChrisGraslie (talk) 05:01, April 12, 2020 (UTC) Yes, since the term hasn't been further defined. --DarthRuiz30 (talk) 05:04, April 12, 2020 (UTC)

Day-at-a-time-calendar

Hello, MegaZeph! Your edits suggest you possess a copy of Star Wars Day-at-a-Time Calendar 2020? Editoronthewiki (talk) 18:23, 31 October 2021 (UTC)

  • Yes, I do! Is there any specific information you need from it? (Apologies for the delayed response.)-- MegaZeph ( talk ) 07:21, 2 November 2021 (UTC) Not a problem! I'm curious about what it says regarding battle droids such as the B1. Could you possibly send me images of those pages via Discord?
