Image uploading

Okay, how to get passed the "description" and "licensing" fields... Well, you need to make sure that you have those fields filled out, for one. What is the image depicting? Say you were uploading an image of Cade Skywalker. In the "Description" field, you'd put something like "Cade Skywalker holds his blaster gangsta style." Then, in the source section, you'd put in where the image came from. For this example, we'll say it came from a comic. Then, you'd put in that comic that it came from (exact issue number). In the "author" section, you'd put in the artist, which would be Jan Duursema for this example. Then, in the "copyright" or "licensing" field, you'd pick that it's a comic panel scan from the drop-down menu.

As for uploading from a URL, I don't think you can do that. You would have to save the image on your computer and upload it directly from that. Hope that helps! And remember to sign your posts with four tildes (~~~~) Trak Nar 03:45, September 10, 2012 (UTC)

  • You can hit the sig button, or you can press the tilde key four times. This key is located on the left of the "1" key in the number row of the keyboard. Hold "shift" and press that key (which has ` and ~ on it) four times and that will make your signature, including the timestamp. :) Trak Nar 03:51, September 10, 2012 (UTC)
  • Hm. That error I am not quite familiar with. Darth Culator may be able to help, as he is more familiar with the filters than I am. However, he prolly won't respond until tomorrow. Also, Grunny might be able to answer your question, and he's a bit more prompt in responding to comments, so hopefully he'll be able to get this thing sorted. :) Trak Nar 07:53, September 10, 2012 (UTC)

Your signature

Please note that according to our Signature policy, your signature must contain your actual username. Please modify your signature accordingly. Cheers, 1358 (Talk) 08:01, September 10, 2012 (UTC)

  • Ajunta Pall is talking about the Exiles, not the others who have been entombed in the Valley of the Dark Lords. I rather doubt he mentions Marka Ragnos, Tulak Hord, or Naga Sadow by —they were most certainly not former Jedi. I strongly suggest that you read their articles, and see during which time periods each lived. And please heed the above warning. CadeCalrayn 03:47, September 11, 2012 (UTC)

Image trouble

Just so you know, I've replied to your question in my talk page. Check it out there. Winterz (talk) 18:31, September 13, 2012 (UTC)

  • Like I already said to resize an image, you do everything regularly but add the 250px (it's an example though that size is the one commonly used in userboxes and infoboxes). This how you add an image after uploading it:

User Image

Hey there, ORACWF. A "user image" does not mean "fan made image." It means an image that you uploaded for your own use that does not appear in articles. Once you've accumulated 50 edits to the Main Namespace, which is something you can verify with this, you can reupload the image you want to have on your user page. Cheers and welcome to Wookieepedia! Signature

Hey again. Per our sigature policy, your sig must contain your username or an abbreviation. Please adjust yours t fit these rules. I'd suggest taking an afternoon to read through the policies from the sidebar there. NaruHina 22:18, September 13, 2012 (UTC)

Talk pages

Thanks for contributing to Wookieepedia! Before posting talk page comments, please familiarize yourself with the disclaimer at the top of talk pages, {{Talkheader}}. Talk pages are for discussion relating to changes to the article, not for a discussion about the topic in question. Thank you. 1358 (Talk) 15:51, October 8, 2012 (UTC)

  • You are indeed breaking the rules, as per {{Talkheader}}. And be warned of WP:NPA. Please adjust your attitude, or you'll find yourself with a lengthy time-out.—Cal Jedi 15:57, October 8, 2012 (UTC)
  • Firstly, cut out the attitude. This is nothing personal and telling me to fuck off is a personal attack and definitely not civil. If you would like to remain part of this community, I'd recommend you to readjust your attitude or else you might find yourself blocked. On Wookieepedia, talk pages are not used for general discussion, as we are not a forum. The sole purpose of the talk pages is to discuss changes related to the article, not the subject of the article, which is clearly stated in the {{Talkheader}} notice visible on the majority of all talk pages. On an unrelated note, your signature is in direct violation of our signature policy, which states that your signature must include your username or a visual representation of it. Please readjust your signature to make sure it fits within the policy. Thank you for your cooperation. 1358(Talk) 16:01, October 8, 2012 (UTC)
