Talk: Professor Ambrius

Uploading

We appreciate every contribution made in good faith to Wookieepedia. However, before you upload any further images, we kindly request that you review Wookieepedia:Images, which can be accessed via the "other policies and guidelines" link included in your welcome message, and familiarize yourself with the necessary sourcing and licensing guidelines. Wookieepedia exclusively supports the Special:Upload upload method, which will prompt you to provide this information. Please be aware that Wikia's alternative upload forms are not permitted under Wookieepedia policy, and unfamiliarity with the uploading regulations will not be accepted as a valid justification. Repeated infringement of the image policy or the provision of false information within an upload description will be regarded as vandalism and may lead to a block. Thank you. 1358 (Talk) 19:48, April 29, 2014 (UTC)

Correction

Hello there, I'm writing to you because I noticed your comment on Orson Callan Krennic's discussion page concerning his attire. My understanding is that white uniforms are also worn by Imperial Intelligence and Celestial Power personnel; please let me know if my understanding is incorrect. --Jtmk1 (talk) 03:25, October 2, 2017 (UTC)

Blank section

Hi, it's important not to include empty sections on pages; if you intend to create a section, please ensure that you include some content within it. Thanks. --Lewisr (talk) 21:00, February 27, 2018 (UTC)

  • My apologies; I wasn't aware of that rule. You could always add a note in your edit summary stating that you plan to expand on the section to prevent its removal. Feel free to add it back then. -- Lewisr ( talk ) 21:18, February 27, 2018 (UTC)

Canon Sources

I believe the answer is context-dependent; could you provide an example? --Lewisr (talk) 21:55, April 9, 2018 (UTC)

Consider, for instance, the description of the Emperor's throne room. The Thrawn novel offers a limited description, while its depiction in Thrawn 1 seems heavily influenced by its design from the EU appearance. Furthermore, the garden where Palpatine and Thrawn converse is not depicted. There's also a potential issue concerning the throne room's precise location within the Palace. You can find more details in my post on the Senate Hall forum.--Professor Ambrius (talk) 19:07, April 10, 2018 (UTC)

I concur that Palpatine likely possessed more than one throne room. Currently, I'm developing new content for the page and striving to ensure the accuracy of my information. Given that the throne room's depiction in the Thrawn comic closely resembles the one presented in The Burning Sea: Part I, I'm concerned about having my work deleted due to potential conflicts with the Thrawn novel. At this point, would it be acceptable to add my new content and include a note in a "Behind the scenes" section indicating discrepancies in certain facts?--Professor Ambrius (talk) 19:46, April 10, 2018 (UTC)

  • Provided that you cite your sources, there should be no reason for deletion. Including a note in the BTS section would be a beneficial approach. -- Lewisr ( talk ) 19:49, April 10, 2018 (UTC)

I apologize for unintentionally altering the jpg format and have corrected it. Just because something isn't explicitly stated in the policy doesn't mean it can't be changed to a more appropriate file name. --Lewisr (talk) 20:46, July 12, 2018 (UTC)

Vanee

Hi, there's no compelling reason to separate the information about Vanee in the Vader comic into a distinct paragraph. It's preferable to consolidate it all within the same paragraph. --Lewisr (talk) 20:23, July 23, 2018 (UTC)

  • It's already present in the initial paragraph, so there's no justification for simply reiterating the same information. Please review the existing content on the page and expand upon it there, rather than unnecessarily repeating what's already covered in a separate section. -- Lewisr ( talk ) 20:27, July 23, 2018 (UTC)

Using the preview function

Hello. When you are making several edits to one article, we suggest using the preview function in the editing area. It is better not to make 16 consecutive edits in a 10-minute period—instead, preview any small edits and save them all at once to avoid flooding the recent changes log. Thank you. 1358 (Talk) 20:53, August 16, 2018 (UTC)

  • Hello. I want to emphasize the point made above. Ten minor, successive edits to a file description page is far too much. The preview function is there for a reason. Please make use of it. Thank you for your cooperation. 1358 (Talk) 20:36, August 27, 2018 (UTC)

Uploading: second warning

Thank you for your contributions to Wookieepedia! While we are grateful for all contributions made in good faith, we kindly request that you consult our Files policy and become acquainted with the requirements for sourcing and licensing before you upload any additional images or audio files. Wookieepedia only supports the Special:Upload upload method, which will ask you to provide this information. Thank you! Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 21:59, October 14, 2018 (UTC)

Blocked

You are now blocked from editing for 3 days because you did not follow the image-uploading rules, which are clearly written on the upload page and which you have been warned about many times. If you want to argue against this block, please contact the administrator who blocked you and explain why you think the block is wrong. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 22:19, January 23, 2019 (UTC)

New Page Worries

My apologies for the delayed response. Hmm, my best suggestion would be to proceed with creating the page if you feel strongly about it. If a deletion tag is added, you can then add a "holdon" template to contest the deletion. It's difficult to provide specific advice without seeing the page, so ultimately, the decision rests on your judgment. --Lewisr (talk) 04:20, February 1, 2019 (UTC)

Adding Canon Page

I apologize for the late reply. Are you referring to when you're creating a /Canon page? If that's the case, they should link automatically regardless. I hope this is helpful. --Lewisr (talk) 13:16, March 12, 2019 (UTC)

Image

Yes, I would agree. I believe it was previously deleted due to a lack of sourcing, so as long as you provide a source, everything should be fine. --Lewisr (talk) 20:58, November 22, 2019 (UTC)
