Yes, hello. I'm a new Wookieepedian, but have been using the site for quite some time now.

I'd like to know where I nominate a quote on the In-Universe Quote-of-the-day page. I can't figure out where the link is, or however it is done. Help? The quote is:

hey, im really confused. I was just playing around typing in fictional names into search to see if they were real sw names (long story). when i typed in Darth Rex, it brought up a page saying, "Welcome Darth Rex!" I was thinking, should there be designated or at least recognized authorities on lesser known topics in the real universe which montor references to those thigns on Wookieepedia? Such as languages, religions, cultures or history which is lesser known to the greater public. I have seen some honest mistakes made by people when refering to lesser known topics (in discussons or behind the scenes or other real world based facts). I am aware that this may not work due to so many positions being added or it may simply go against some policy or admins' personal site related interests. I remove it because it was based on dates given by Sue Rostoni and Lord Hydronium told me that Sue stated somewhere that her dates were screwy, meaning that the timeline itself is screwy.

Just wanted to mention that I found where said her timeline was wrong and added a link to it in the section I started on the LOTF article's talk page so there would be some proof of the timeline being wrong.Mbruno 03:47, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

I was going revert your reversion of my edit and it keeps saying Removing (or "blanking") much or all of the text on a page is not permitted except in specific circumstances. I would like to know how I would go about doing a conflict on the planet Cathar. Some sources place it in the Expansion Region next to the Ploo system but The Essential Atlas places it in the Quelii sector of the Outer Rim Territories next to Dathomir. I am VERY new here. I just recently started reading some of the Star Wars novels and I have been crosses referencing everything I am reading with Wookieepedia. (Example:looking up different species and planets)

While reading Drew Karpyshyn's Darth Bane Trilogy, I came across many references to a Chancellor Valorun and found no reference to the Old Republic Era, Valorun.

So, I started playing in the Sandbox and I was wondering if there was any kind hearted Administrator out there willing to take me under their wing and help me with the format and editing of what could be possibly be a useful submission.

Hi, I know I'm a bit third party on this, but... Mos Eisley article says the distance is 80 km, and that can be roughly measured from File:TatooineMap.jpg although it isn't exactly north—south direction. As a new wiki user, I would like to make improvements to this site. Specifically, the excess of redlinks within several articles "going away". For instance, within the Scimitar article of this wiki, within its "Description/Characteristics" portion, it lists X-C 2 ion drive array as not having a page. In samaritan spirits, I would like to fix these redlinks for other users. I need a nudge in the right direction however. Can you give me tips on sourcing and researching to properly document and add information on these 'missing pages'? Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I'm going to let the removal stand for now. I have a copy of what is not a "bootleg" copy. It is a product I received from a friend overseas. I believe it was purchased overseas (outside the US) before the "official US release date" and then pulled from the shelf without ever being officially released in the US. I noticed that instead of verifying an accurate anon change to the header of Grand Moffs you simply reverted it. For your edification Odile Vaiken was the very first Imperial Grand Moff in Star Wars lore, which makes him the first ever Grand Moff. Wilhuff Tarkin was not even the first Grand Moff in the Galactic Empire. Reflexively reverting anon edits without verifying first, only hurts the wiki. --Basique 22:36, December 11, 2010 (UTC)

Hey SFH, I recently reverted your link change in the Abeloth article, and I wanted to let you know why. When the full phrase of a non-conjecturally titled article is mentioned in text, then you should link the full phrase, particularly if the latter part of the phrase is mentioned and thus able to be linked later in the article. An article for House Palpatine was created and is thus far considered separate from the Imperial family article. Some users have pushed for a merge, including myself originally, but other users have argued that they should be maintained as two separate articles unless a canonical source links them as one. So it would help if you could explain why you reverted the article back to the version that shows House Palpatine and the Imperial family as one entity. JRT2010 04:11, February 29, 2012 (UTC)

Hello! First off, I apologise if I am posting this problem in the wrong place; I did have a look around, but I could find no better place or user. This user, Maximillian "Stormrider" Koretzky, has blatantly stolen my userpage biography, and simply added in or taken away words, as he pleased. Is this allowed? He did not ask for my permission, and I am, to say the least, a little bit irritated. I have tried contacting him about it but have received no response, and I do not want to delete the biography myself, and overstep my boundaries. Is there anything that can be done? yo, I was browsing the web for stuff on Star Dreadnoughts and scales of the ships when i noticed that there was a ship that I have never seen before. The ships name was the 'Ravager, after seeing the how massive this ship was, I decided to come here to learn more about this ship. It only came up with another 'Ravager' ship but it was not the one I was looking for. So, the reason i am telling you this is, I didn't know whether to make a new page on it, but I thought, maybe as its not very well known, i will be blamed for vandilism etc...

So would it be fine if i create the page...

btw, if this ship is real, then the information on star dreadnoughts is wrong as then the eye of palpatine is not the biggest ship in the fleet as it is 19km long and the Ravager is 22km long

• First, you didn't actually change it to match our styles. You just restored what had been previously removed. Second, the tone is too OOU, meaning that it's putting too much real-life speculation into the main article. Something you need to understand is that for all there attempts to make it sound scientifically accurate the people who make Star Wars Canon are not scientists, so putting in real world science may not always mesh with what's canon. • BTS means "behind the scenes". Also, like I said earlier, real-world physics don't always apply when writing Star Wars. If someone actually said "Yes, we go into a different dimension", then that is what is going in. And as to what I said there are no theories, as this isn't something that is really talked about. Since we've now reached 100,000 articles, I'm planning on writing an article for Wookieepedia NewsNet reflecting on how we got this far by looking back at the earliest days of the Wook. To that end, I'm contacting as many of the oldest (unflattering term, I know. Sorry) Wookieepedians as possible and asking them to chime in.

This is (intentionally) a pretty broad question, but I'm wondering if you can tell me about your early experiences on the Wook and your impressions of what the site was like during its first couple years. Something longer than a soundbite but shorter than a short story, since I'm hoping to quote as many people as I can. Humor and wit are of course encouraged. Hey, there's an article that I would like to nominate for deletion, but as a new user, I am not sure that I am permitted to do so. I am also uncertain of how to do so exactly. The article in question is Hasaq's sun, which is described on the page as a lightsaber crystal, the source being Knights of the Old Republic II. However, the one time "Hasaq's sun" is mentioned in the game, it is used as a simile to describe the color of an orange lightsaber: "orange, like Hasaq's sun" and not "Hasaq's sun, an orange crystal" or "orange, an Hasaq's sun." This I have already mentioned in the article's talk page. On a side note, there is already an article on Hasaq, describing it as a planet with an orange sun, with the exact same source. In any case, as I said, I am unfamiliar with the procedure involved in designating an article for possible deletion, and I would be grateful for your assistance. • Go to the toolbox section on the left side of the page and select "upload file". Tap the browse button and go to where the image is stored. Be sure to load the image template and give proper citation, otherwise we will have to delete it. Hi, I'm hoping that You can help me. I am editing Wookieepedia in Serbian and it seems that someone who created page did not completed it. I can't add no templates (appearances, opening crawls....), infoboxes...and all stuff there is like on other languages. I tried to contact other Administrators but they either ignoring or don't want to respond. I also contacted Wikia community support and they recommended me few of admins and You are my last hope. • Most of our templates are preloadable now (you can select a template it should come out) so I can figure out no reason why the templates shouldn't work. Hey :) There has been an issue for me that has bothered me for many years, and only now have I bothered to deal with it. When I first joined Wookieepedia, I was only 11-years-old in 2006. At the time I quite foolishly used my real name as my username. As a matter of fact, I created two accounts, one with "Jedi + [first & last name]" the other without the "Jedi" modifier. If my name is searched on Google, it easily shows up within the first few pages. This is cause for some anxiety for me in part because I am embarrassed by some comments I have made on Wookieepedia at that age many years ago. To be exact, I don't remember whether I have ever said anything particularly shameful or immature, and indeed I never got in trouble with an administrator, but I do know that I'm not comfortable with the persona reflected in my activity and messages at the time regardless. Pure embarrassment is one reason behind my concern, but the other is privacy. While I suppose it is not likely that people will search my name online, quite simply I don't want even the remote possibility that I could be identified with my prepubescent self. :( I know that in the past there was a strict rule here that forbade any comment no matter how dated or irrelevant from being removed from a talk page.
