Talk: Sightsaber

Hello. I appreciate your efforts to add interlanguage links to Wookieepedia. However, you appear to be unaware of a 2011 community decision that changed how we handle these links. Per the decisions at Forum:CT:Foreign language link issues and Forum:CT:Minor LG amendment for interlanguage update and the resulting policy at Wookieepedia:Layout Guide#Interwiki links, we now use the {{Interlang}} template for interlanguage links instead of the regular MediaWiki format. Please read the pages I have linked and use the new format in the future. Thank you. 17:53, April 29, 2013 (UTC)

Because it's not really related to Star Wars, and it's not notable enough to be given an article. Cade Calrayn 22:26, August 24, 2013 (UTC)

While all good-faith contributions to Wookieepedia are appreciated, we ask that you please refer to Wookieepedia:Images, which can be found under the "other policies and guidelines" link in your welcome message, and familiarize yourself with the sourcing and licensing requirements before uploading any more images. The only uploading method supported by Wookieepedia, Special:Upload, will prompt you to enter this information. Wikia's non-standard upload forms are not supported under Wookieepedia policy, and ignorance of the uploading rules is not an acceptable excuse. Continued violation of the image policy or falsification of any information in an upload description are considered vandalism and will likely result in a block. Thank you. 23:49, August 24, 2013 (UTC)

I am not sure if any pronunciation has been established for Puck Naeco, sorry.--Exiled Jedi (Greetings) 14:42, November 29, 2013 (UTC)

Hey Sightsaber! Absolutely. I'll get a separate one uploaded tonight or tomorrow under the different format. I'll keep you posted. StarsiderSWG (talk) 00:02, August 22, 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for contributing to Wookieepedia! Before posting talk page comments, please familiarize yourself with the disclaimer at the top of talk pages, {{Talkheader}}. Hello. Please do not create categories if you're not willing to fill out the subcategories and properly create it. Thank you. Cade Calrayn

Other than following the instructions on the User:HotCat page, I'm afraid not since its not controlled by Wookieepedia. You could ask over at Jedipedia. Alternatively, the edit summary for the HotCat changes usually have a link to the editor who programmed the changes. - Sir Cavalier of One 22:33, August 7, 2015 (UTC)

Hello. Thanks for adding references to Steve Blum birthdate/birthplace. However, I have two comments. First, only one reference is required. If several references are required (ex: one for the birthdate, one for the birthplace), put them right after the information what need clarification, and not as a block. Second, and most important, using naked links is against policy, and it should be provided with the proper template (either {{Cite_web}} or a more specialized internet citation template. --NanoLuuke 15:26, April 29, 2020 (UTC)

Hello. Please, note that HasbroCite requires an archiveurl, since it features a link. I corrected your edit on Tarados Gon/Legends. --NanoLuuke 18:03, July 30, 2020 (UTC)

Thanks for contributing to Wookieepedia! Please note that your edit to Christine Hewett added an external link without including a backup link. Our Sourcing policy mandates the inclusion of a permanent archival link in all external links. Instructions for doing this can be found on the respective citation template pages. Thanks! Also, please do not leave any empty fields in citation templates. UberSoldat93 (talk) 09:28, September 19, 2020 (UTC)

Hi! Thanks for providing a reference for Mike Mayhew birthday. However, please make sure to include an archivedate when using {{FacebookCite}} in the future. If you haven't noticed yet, when an archive doesn't exist, archive site (like archive.org and archive.today) offers the possibility to create a archive at any time. Please, don't hesitate to reach me on my talk page if you have any question. NanoLuuke 11:56, 13 November 2020 (UTC)

Hey, Sightsaber, but I'm just letting you know that you have voted for Boba Fett twice in the Character of the Year contest. Can you please go back and remove your duplicate vote as soon as possible? 02:03, 28 December 2020 (UTC)

Please, Sightsaber, do not add a person on the Memorial of deceased actors, artists, and authors if 1) there is no person article, and thus no attribution possible of said information, or if 2) the person article lack any referenced source regarding their death. Otherwise, it's a breach of attribution/sourcing. NanoLuuke 11:19, 16 February 2021 (UTC)

You have been blocked from editing for 2 weeks, for continuing to fail to provide backup links for external links and format them with the appropriate templates, despite numerous previous warnings. To contest this block, please contact the blocking administrator with the reason you believe the block is unjustified. Tommy-Macaroni 10:04, 9 May 2021 (UTC)

Another reminder to provide backup links to external links. It's surprising to see you avoid them despite the block. UberSoldat93 (talk) 17:35, 2 October 2021 (UTC)

Please, don't forget to add sources when adding any information to an article. I had to revert you on Rick Cimino for this reason. If you want to add the dates, you must provide references, same for the complete name if it's different from what that person is credited under in relevant documentation. --NanoLuuke 15:22, 21 October 2021 (UTC)

On another source note: Please be sure to update the source link to where you obtained the new upload of File:DaalaTotC.jpg. As the DeviantArt source is no longer accurate. Thank you. - JMAS 20:20, 14 December 2021 (UTC)

Please do not add unverified information to Wookieepedia. Your edit here is not valid, as Wikipedia is not an acceptable source. If you continue adding unverified information, you will be blocked from editing. Thanks. --DarthRuiz30 (talk) 23:17, 3 March 2022 (UTC)

  • Hello. My answer would be the same as what has been said here already. Since HotCat is not controlled by us, we can't determine its edits. I would suggest talking to the people at Jedipedia if there are problems. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 17:49, September 23, 2015 (UTC)

  • Since you used a Facebook link, you should have used {{FacebookCite}}. It's a bit more complicated, and need to be provided with a screenshot that need to be added to Wookieepedia:Social media screenshots. I did all this to show you how to do it. Also, this reference concerns only the birthdate, not the place of birth, which I removed. Fell free to add it back if you find a source for this information. About {{Cite_web}}, next time you use it, removed all parameters where no information are provided, and remove all space between parameters (all this is written on the template page). --NanoLuuke 09:16, April 30, 2020 (UTC)

  • Is there a rule regarding the specific of this unique page? The answer is no. However, it works on the same basis as articles for real dates (years, months, days), as we don't reference each entries on such pages because they should be referenced in the first place on the articles themselves, per our Attribution/Sourcing policies. In this case, the attribution is derivative from the article's reference. NanoLuuke 13:46, 16 February 2021 (UTC)

  • I don't see how the situation is "ironic" and how that page concerns me... I'm only enforcing our policies regarding Attribution and Sourcing. This as nothing to do this "high standards" (might want to check the status article reviewing process, because that would be "high standard"), on the contrary, sourcing information is one of the most basic and essential task an editor should learn to accomplish. --NanoLuuke 12:36, 22 October 2021 (UTC)

Sightsaber () 12:38, 22 April 2022 (UTC)
