It is considered disrespectful to clean up my own talk page? Alright. How soon before it vanishes on it's own? Also, can you help me by citing that clause? It's location may help me avoid other bannable taboos in the future. SinisterSamurai 00:04, 21 October 2008 (UTC)

  • Talk pages serve as a public record of discourse between users. It is not a forum or chat, so the entries won't vanish or be removed. Yes, the end result could potentially be a long talk page and even archiving if necessary. You can remove the welcome template. But just like any talk page for an article, removing entries falls under the vandalism policy. BTW, awesome that you got the Republic logo form TOR so quickly, any chance you could grab and post the Sith Empire one anytime? Dangerdan97 19:03, 25 October 2008 (UTC)

Restraining bolt

To my knowledge no visual guide, campaign guide, novellization or picture caption on a licensed websute has identified it as a restraining bolt. So, unless we have a confirmation, don't list it. Mauser 03:06, 25 October 2008 (UTC)

Heads up

Just to let you know, Wookieepedians are only allowed three personal images; the "Mace" collector's item picture, unless it is intended for an article as well, makes four. Your other images, however, are pretty interesting, particularly the Ackbar Rum. Anyway, thanks for listening.--Goodwood 07:05, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

Rahm Kota concept art

The new image looks fine. All I had to do was rejig the image placement somewhat to make it fit. It works though, so thanks for uploading it! - Cavalier One 13:18, January 20, 2010 (UTC)

Linking

Please note that articles are linked once in an infobox, once in the introduction, and once in the main body of an article. The article has been returned to its original state to reflect this, as it is a current Good Article. If any problems arise with this, don't hesitate to discuss them with me on my talk page. Thank you. CC7567 04:11, May 7, 2010 (UTC)

Re

Well, I don't think all parts of the issue need articles. Do the Threat of Peace acts have separate parts? As far as I can tell, we don't have articles on them if they do, so consensus seems to be to not have articles for separate parts of each issue. Chack Jadson 18:14, May 8, 2010 (UTC)

Takrab's Fact Files

Greetings, SinisterSamurai.

You seem to be familiar with The Official Star Wars Fact File 91 (TRA17-18, The Trade Federation Attack), which apparently mentions Gode Takrab. I must admit, I did not know that. I was wondering, could you please tell me what's said about that on FF91, so I can update and source the article on Takrab? Thank you very much in advance. The Written Word

I saw when you posted that video; it is indeed an interesting alphabet that I overlooked while researching The Written Word. I don't really have any particularly unique insight to it at this point, other than I think the letters are different enough from Aurebesh that Rakatan influence isn't a given, and that since it's an alphabet, "Unidentified podracer alphabet" might serve as a better title. If you are looking for help with .svgs, you might see if User:000 is available; he did our Aurebesh .svgs, and though he hasn't edited in over a year, he might still be checking his talk page now and then. jSarek 07:40, June 10, 2010 (UTC)

Chee: The role-playing game

Answered in Toprawa's talkpage. I said: [1] ; Darth Morrt found it before I did and posted it on the FAN page. SavageBob, a user I trust, used this as the basis of one of his objections to my FAN on the Yinchorri. I really think we should analyze the implications of this…after summer. --Skippy Farlstendoiro 14:19, July 22, 2010 (UTC)

Mass hysteria

CSF FANom Objection

I looked it up and there isn't enough to warrant details. Mostly the story is about the Jedi and Valorum. So I left it them under the appearance section but didn't add details in the article. Coruscantfan 23:03, August 10, 2010 (UTC)

Gorog

A) Non-canon? The trailer is every bit as canon as the comic. B) Is Gorog is a character or a species? All indications I've seen are that it's a species, so all that image shows is a member of a species dying. - ~ JMAS 12:03, October 14, 2010 (UTC)

  • A) The trailer is a teaser, designed to generate interest. It depicts some loose story elements (Yes, SK fights the Gorog), however it contradicts the particulars of the TFUII, the video game. Thus: Non-canon. The comic, near as I can tell, provides no such contradiction. I'll know more when the game is released. B) It's a species, and also an individual. It appears to be one of a kind, and while (likely) non-sentient, is known referred to as the gorog by dev staff. It shows the only known member of the species being killed. C) If you really want a CG image, capture one from the game, as at least it will be a different source than the trailer. The comic image shows scale, just as the CG one does, shows it's death, shows it's injuries, and is from a final product. SinisterSamurai 21:29, October 14, 2010 (UTC)

Wampas in Bakura?

Hi, I noticed you added Wampas to the immigrated species list in the Bakura article, citing Jedi Academy. But I don't remember encountering any during the Mission to Bakura.--TheBearPaw 11:13, November 18, 2010 (UTC)

  • Remove it if you like. It's the one game I haven't played. It's in the Wampa (Featured) article sourced to the same thing, and I know Toprawa (the featurer) does his homework. SinisterSamurai 17:01, November 18, 2010 (UTC)

Hey, I noticed you were looking for a good pic of the probe droid in the DS II hangar, and wanted to point you in the direction of the Rebellion Era Sourcebook, there's a nice big deck-level pic of it there, I think it must be a promo shot for the movie. I'm not at home so I don't have the specifics, but I'll be able to scan it or find a copy once I do get home. Let me know whether that's what you're looking for or not. We may have decided not to formally enforce an all-around ban on swearing, but dropping F bombs with impunity like this is just completely unnecessary and does fall under the provisions outlined in WP:CIVIL. Hey, Ryssk has been removed from the CAN and the nom has been archived, so feel free to nom the article on the GAN whenever you're ready. Jonjedigrandmaster 21:10, February 13, 2011 (UTC)

Wampa

Would FF 140 be on Kaskus someplace? Or, would you kindly be able to show me the entire page of the issue containing the wampa info? I'm curious to read everything in whole. Thanks for your help. Toprawa and Ralltiir 20:41, February 22, 2011 (UTC)

  • FF140 is on Kaskus. A user named kfrone has acquired several (or all) of the FFs. His declared intention is to scan and post them all. He's going backwards, and has 140, 139, and 138 up as of this post. SinisterSamurai 21:52, February 22, 2011 (UTC)
  • Note, however, that my edit summary was an very nearly the entirety of the mention. The whole thing, without truncations is, "Another Hutt favorite is animal smuggling. Gargonn the Hutt shipped exotic beasts around the galaxy - wampas, akk dogs, rancors and the like. He established a gruesome circus in the bowels of Nar Shadaa called Circus Horrificus, in which slave gladiators were forced to fight powerful beasts. Eventually, the circus was shut down by the Jedi." SinisterSamurai 22:02, February 22, 2011 (UTC)

Hi, some time ago you asked if I had fixed the {{Reflist}} template with multiple columns, apparently I have forgotten to answer so here it goes: it _should_ be fixed but if not, let me know and I'll look into it. (: –Tm_T 09:59, March 18, 2011 (UTC)

LFA Request

Okay, I'll do that at some point over the next couple of days, that sounds a lot easier that uploading all the adventures individually... I'm glad you're interested in them, as most of Wookieepedia's Living Force articles could all do with a lot of work. I got most of my LF adventures from Eyrezer and the only one missing from my collection is "Murder on the Queen of Cularin", although according to Jason Fry, it is possible that that adventure wasn't ever released in PDF format. Anyway, I hope you enjoy them. --Jinzler 18:04, May 12, 2011 (UTC)

Re: Official Starships and Vehicles Collection issue 62

One cell, for example, was organized by Lucos Dannt, the Headmaster of the Naboo Royal House of Learning. His manpower included RSF volunteers, a young Wookiee, and even a Jedi Padawan. That's all there is on Rorworr; the rest of the article briefly summarizes the exploits of Dannt's group, but I don't see anything new. In regards to the resistance, as a matter of fact, they mention all three terms. When talking about the capture of Gode Takrab, it says, Fortunately, Takrab was intercepted and captured just in time by Naboo Resistance fighters. One other sentence reads, The way the Naboo were spread out across the planet in small settlements, often with little or no technology, ultimately helped the fledgling Naboo resistance, as did their knowledge of the often challenging terrain. A bit later it says, As a result, the Naboo resistance had willing helpers and reasonable shelter, as well as a limited amount of supplies. That's basically it, I think. CC has been kind enough to scan the magazine for me, so if you want to take a look for yourself, just ask and I'll e-mail it to you. 09:32, May 14, 2011 (UTC)

Barn-burner: Halfway home

Hey there, SinSam.

Have some Wookiee-ookiees.

Have some Wookiee-ookiees.

I want to thank you for your efforts so far during Wookieepedia's first barn-burner. This is a not-so-personal message that's being sent out to every participant, but rest assured that everybody affiliated with this project deserves the highest praise. I've been very pleased with the number of users who have been writing, nominating, and reviewing Wookiees and Wookiee-related articles this month. Awesome job, all of you.

We're a little past the halfway mark, and at this point, I'd like to encourage everybody to focus their efforts on reviewing. Many users have been reviewing a lot already, and yes, you're absolutely welcome and encouraged to continue writing and nominating articles at this point. I just want to encourage everyone to take some time and help out others, which was one of the original purposes of this project. Additionally, the more reviewing that we all participate in, the more articles we can see promoted before the end of the month. Anything promoted after the end of May will still count as being part of the barn-burner, but it would be cool to get as much through as we can before then.

We have a list of current nominations for handy reference. If you feel inclined, find some that tickle your fancy and go nuts. Thanks again for all of your hard work. Cheers. Menkooroo 07:01, May 17, 2011 (UTC)

Starships Collection 62

Sure. What parts of the issue do you need? CC7567 02:24, June 27, 2011 (UTC)

  • As QuiGon said, I scanned the magazine for him and provided him with a digital PDF copy. Since I assumed that I didn't need it anymore after giving it to him, I've since deleted it from my computer and from MediaFire, where I had posted it. It might therefore be best to take QuiGon up on his offer of providing you with a copy, unless he hasn't responded—I basically gave him everything from the magazine, so all you'd have to do is ask him. If he's unavailable, I can re-scan it for you and then get it to you somehow, but since QuiGon already has a scanned copy, it'll probably be quicker to ask him. If you do need me to re-scan it, please let me know soon, since I'm leaving for a three-week trip on July 4. Thanks, and hope that helps. CC7567 23:52, June 29, 2011 (UTC)

Hello, SavageBob said that you got him an image from Star Wars: Bounty Hunter. If you do not mind could you some images for me. Salvation/ The Salvation

Hey, I reverted your move of Salvation to The Salvation since both TFU II novels and comic parse it as the Salvation throughout, and The Essential Guide to Warfare refers to it as the "frigate Salvation. Three sources to one, and generally the novels for the series are thought of as the "best" canon for the series. Just a heads up to let you know it wasn't an arbitrary move in case you have any info I don't on the subject :) - Cavalier One 21:01, September 12, 2012 (UTC)

  • I'm betting EGTW did it because we did it, but okay. Some of the Databank entries capitalize the T in "The" so I figured why not. The entry The Salvation, though, doesn't even parse it consistently with the other entries. Mon Mothma keeps referring to Salvation, so I can understand it swinging either way. I don't agree with the novels being the best source, though. I know that we treat novels and video games as equally inferior when they supplement a movie, but in TFU/TFUII's case, the novels/comics are the supplement and the game is intended to be the primary media. Where in the author's cut of The Essential Guide to Warfare does it mention the Lugubraa? The information you added to the species' page is certainly there, but no mention of the species itself is made. Am I missing something? Demos Traxen (talk) 08:11, December 21, 2013 (UTC)

  • Consider it extrapolation/original research or speculation/fanon, if you must. Lugubraa and Mnggal-Mnggal aren't mentioned by our wiki-names, but all of the pieces fit IU and after becoming somewhat familiar with Fry and Wallace's style (especially after endnotes for the Unknown Region and Essential Atlas), I personally have no doubt. I pulled the same "speculation" with the Darkstaff and Faded Colors. SinisterSamurai () 08:29, December 21, 2013 (UTC)

Racer Revenge

Hiya SinisterSamurai. A little ways back you mentioned something about possibly having some emulation files for Star Wars: Racer Revenge. I was wondering if you did, and would be interested in getting better images for the pilots in the game. While monster sized images like File:TzidikPose.jpg would be great for everyone, the pressing ones would be Wan Sandage Jr. (Who only has a very blurry photo from a game guide and a blurrier screenshot from a youtube video of the opening cinematic), Shrivel Braittrand (And by extension Kulless, who both use concept art as their main images, although no official source has really offered these as actual images of the characters, especially noting that the art looks notably different from the final deisgns), and Occo Ninebar (Who has the same issue as Braittrand). I have the game and some cords to attach it to my computer, but my PS2 doesn't play it anymore and I'm not entirely sure how to do all of that PS2 BIOS stuff for hacking. If you'd like too help, let me know. Cheers! --Clonehunter 19:29, May 8, 2014 (UTC)

  • I tried running PCSX2 on my laptops again, both my new one and the old one that worked before. I used a previous, unfinished version before, and I can't seem to get the updated version to run properly on either system anymore. Neither one is really designed for gaming, nor are they high-end machines by any standard. I own three or four now-bricked PS2s, but I still got my BIOS from the Internet, rather than ripping from my own console. Various file-sharing websites or emulation websites should be able to give you a suitable BIOS, and if you would like a more direct link I can provide you with one. Even though large companies frown upon something like sharing the PS2 BIOS, it has been deemed an exorbitant waste of money to chase down and prosecute "violators", partly because the law only agrees with them half the time. As you own the system, and the game, and are only emulating for documentary purposes a game that is not currently available through Sony's PSN, you'll most likely be completely ignored. For the large resolution, I cranked up the emulator graphics plugin to x6, and then used PCSX2's screenshot function (as the image was higher resolution than my actual display). If you still end up having trouble with it, you can try user:DarthCulator. He grabbed a few screenshots of Watto's Podracer, as well as Darth Vader's and Darth Maul's Podracers, neither of which I was able to access even when I could run the emulator.
