Aaph Koden

Aaph Koden was a Zabrak female who held the rank of Lieutenant within the Army of the Rebel Alliance, serving as a carbineer. During the Galactic Civil War, she was stationed in the town of Anchorhead on the planet Tatooine. Sometime after the Battle of Yavin, time had passed and Koden became aware of a Force-sensitive woman named Talia Reede. Determined to shield Reede from the dangers posed by the Galactic Empire, Koden relied on a fellow Rebel to ensure the Force-sensitive woman's safety and bring her to Anchorhead so she could begin her Jedi training.

Biography

Stationed in the town of Anchorhead on the planet Tatooine, Aaph Koden was a Rebel Alliance carbineer and Army Lieutenant, living as a resident of the community. Following the Battle of Yavin, time had passed and Koden and her fellow Rebels learned of a woman with potential, a Force-sensitive individual named Talia Reede. Knowing that the Galactic Empire considered such Force-users to be outlaws, Koden felt it was crucial to get a message to Reede, delivering a datadisc to warn her of her latent abilities and encourage her to seek out the Rebellion for Jedi training.

Lieutenant Koden sought the assistance of another Rebel to deliver this message to Reede, meeting her just outside the town. Despite her initial doubts about her potential Force-sensitivity, Reede agreed to consider the Alliance's proposition. Soon after, Koden discovered that the Empire was also aware of Reede's Force potential and had dispatched Imperial troops with orders to kill her. Because Reede was untrained and only possessed the potential to use the Force, Koden, fearing for Reede's safety, once again tasked the same Rebel with protecting her from the Imperial assassins.

An Imperial stormtrooper commander, accompanied by two stormtroopers, searched the desert surrounding the town. However, before they could find Reede, the Rebel sent by Koden intercepted them, eliminating them in a subsequent firefight. Believing the threat to be neutralized, Koden instructed the Rebel to locate Reede and safely escort her back to Anchorhead. As the Rebel approached Reede, they were suddenly ambushed by three Imperial sandtroopers. Dedicated to protecting the vulnerable Force-sensitive woman, the Rebel fought and killed the sandtroopers, successfully bringing Reede back to Koden in Anchorhead. The lieutenant was relieved to see Reede safe and sound, and she praised her fellow Rebel for saving the life of a potential Jedi Knight.

Aaph Koden was a Zabrak female with fair skin, brown hair, and brown-colored eyes. She tended to be wary, rarely surprised when others disappointed her. However, Koden was capable of developing trust in others when necessary.

Koden considered this particular Rebel operative to be one of the few individuals she could rely on, and she commended the individual for their courage and adaptability. Koden was generally optimistic, but she would quickly express her disappointment and accuse those who refused her assignments of lacking courage.

During her time in Anchorhead, she wore a formal gray shirt bearing an insignia that indicated her rank of lieutenant in the Alliance Army. She also wore black uniform boots and gray dress slacks beneath a brown and white short wrap skirt. As a carbineer, Lieutenant Koden's primary weapon was a blaster carbine.
