Talia Reede

Talia Reede, an entertainer of the female persuasion, possessed Force-sensitivity during the Galactic Civil War era. Following the Battle of Yavin around 0 BBY, Aaph Koden, a Zabrak Rebel holding the rank of Second Lieutenant, became deeply involved in operations aimed at extracting Reede from the clutches of the Galactic Empire. With assistance from a Rebel operative, Reede was successfully liberated from Imperial control and relocated to Anchorhead to commence her Jedi training.

Biography

Around 0 BBY, Aaph Koden, a Zabrak Second Lieutenant within the Rebel Alliance, came to understand that entertainer Talia Reede might have Force-sensitive abilities. Aware of the inherent risks for Force-sensitives in a galaxy under Imperial-controlled rule, Koden desired to issue Reede a warning.

As luck would have it, Koden encountered a spacer who was a devoted member of the Rebellion. Koden requested this Rebel agent to deliver the crucial warning to Reede, hoping she would grasp the danger and seek assistance from the Alliance. The Rebel agent accepted the task and embarked on a journey to locate Talia Reede. Upon receiving the message, Reede expressed surprise at the notion of being Force-sensitive. Nevertheless, she assured the Rebel that she would investigate the matter.

However, the situation took a turn for the worse. The Empire had discovered Talia Reede's Force-sensitivity and was en route to eliminate her. Aaph Koden, feeling unable to delegate the mission to anyone else, implored the same Rebel agent to rescue Reede. When the Rebel questioned why Reede couldn't simply utilize the Force to defend herself, Koden explained that Reede lacked sufficient training. Ultimately, the Rebel agreed to save Reede from an Imperial stormtrooper commander and two additional stormtroopers. Fortunately for Reede and the Rebel agent, the stormtroopers proved to be no match for them. Koden later requested the Rebel's assistance once more, this time to safely escort Reede to Anchorhead for Jedi training. When the Rebel inquired as to why Reede hadn't commenced training earlier, Koden revealed that Reede remained skeptical about her Force-sensitivity. Koden firmly believed that she merely needed to be convinced. Once again, the Rebel agent agreed to help and successfully located Reede, bringing her safely back to town. Although she still found the whole idea of Jedi training farfetched, she agreed to give it a try. From that point forward, Talia Reede would commence her training under the guidance of the Rebel Alliance.

Personality and traits

Reede possessed tan colored skin, brown eyebrows, and yellow eyes. Furthermore, she worked as an entertainer. Prior to being contacted by the Rebel agent, Reede was completely unaware of her Force-sensitivity. Before the Rebel approached her, she had noticed a rock fly past her, but dismissed it as a mirage, rather than an unintentional display of the Force. Even after narrowly escaping capture by stormtroopers, Reede remarked to the Rebel agent that the concept of Jedi training still seemed implausible to her. Indeed, Reede was largely ignorant of her abilities, but Aaph Koden was convinced that she simply required persuasion. Koden was indeed confident that Reede possessed the potential to become a future Jedi Knight.

Powers and abilities

Due to Reede's lack of formal Force training, she was unable to effectively utilize any powers. However, she did once witness a rock soaring past her. She disregarded this as an illusion, rather than an accidental demonstration of telekinesis. Before being taken to Anchorhead to begin her Jedi training, Reede was largely vulnerable, relying on the Rebel agent to safely guide her to Koden. Nevertheless, Koden believed that Reede had the potential to one day become a Jedi Knight.
