Accarrgm
Accarrgm, which can also be found spelled as accarragm, was a very powerful, light colored liqueur. This drink was crafted from fungus by the Wookiee species originating from the planet Kashyyyk. Similar to numerous other Wookiee liqueurs, it possessed the capability to quickly intoxicate a Human, doing so in mere minutes. The smuggler Han Solo was familiar with the strength of accarrgm, along with other Wookiee liqueurs, by the year 2 BBY. Consequently, at the wedding of his co-pilot Chewbacca, he opted for different beverages and cautioned his companion Jarik Solo to do the same. By 0 BBY, chefs throughout the galaxy were producing accarrgm, as it was palatable to a wide range of species, including Bothans, Ithorians, Mon Calamari, Rodians, Sullustans, Trandoshans, Twi'leks, and Zabraks.
Behind the scenes
The novel Rebel Dawn by A. C. Crispin, published in 1998, marked the initial appearance of Accarragm. Subsequently, it was included as a beverage within the 2003 MMORPG Star Wars Galaxies, developed by Sony Online Entertainment. Initially, only players with the chef profession could craft the drink. However, following the "New-Game Enhancements" implemented in 2005, chefs were integrated into the trader profession, and only domestic traders retained the ability to produce it. All playable species within the game had the ability to consume the drink. The 2008 The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia featured an entry for the drink, although it incorrectly spelled the name as accarrgm.
