Ahsoka, flying her Delta-7B during the Battle of Ryloth

During the Clone Wars, Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker's Padawan, utilized a Delta-7B Aethersprite-class Jedi starfighter. This vessel was painted red and featured a white emblem representing the Jedi Order that spanned the entirety of its exterior. The craft was equipped with two laser cannons and included an astromech droid to manage astrogation tasks and conduct onboard repairs. Modifications were implemented to improve systems for starfighter combat.

History

During the Clone Wars, Ahsoka, designated as Blue Leader, piloted her Delta-7B with R7-A7 during the Battle of Ryloth. Later, while Mace Windu and Cham Syndulla were attempting to enter [Lessu](/article/lessu_city-legends], she assisted her master in combating Hyena-class droid bombers above the city.

Subsequently, Ahsoka employed the fighter to penetrate the Separatist blockade surrounding Umbara as Generals Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi initiated an invasion of the planet.

Behind the scenes

WizKids Games, before The Topps Company, Inc. ceased its operations, offered an early glimpse of Ahsoka's Delta-7B as a playable piece within an expansion for the Star Wars PocketModel TCG game. This preview occurred before its on-screen debut in "Storm Over Ryloth," which was the 19th episode of Season One of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated television TV series.

In addition, a LEGO set titled "Ahsoka's Starfighter and Vulture Droid" was released in late December 2008, featuring Ahsoka's starfighter alongside a Vulture droid, several months prior to its appearance on television.

The hull graphics of Ahsoka's Delta-7B are visually identical, except for the color, to those of Saesee Tiin's Delta-7B. This mirrors the situation with Adi Gallia's Delta-7B and Plo Koon's Blade of Dorin, which also share similar graphics with differing color schemes. This suggests that the production team for The Clone Wars television series reused existing graphic assets.
