Aia was a thief of the humanoid variety, and male. He resided on Bogg 4, a moon that orbits the planet Bogden, one of many small satellites in that system. Aia possessed a tall, slender build, along with white, feather-like hair and webbed hands.
Back in 22 BBY, he encountered a young orphan named Boba Fett inside the Bonny Bounty cantina. Aia inquired as to why Boba was wandering alone in the moon's dark alleyways. Boba had traveled to Bogg 4 alone aboard Slave I, his late father's ship. Upon landing, he accidentally damaged a landing strut. A dishonest mechanic by the name of Honest Gjon offered to repair it, but instead stole the ship and headed for nearby Bogg 11. Aia, familiar with Honest Gjon's reputation, promised to assist Boba in recovering his vessel. He revealed a method for traveling to Bogg 11 without needing a starship. He led Boba to the summit of a large cliff and demonstrated how to ride the gravity wave winds created by the overlapping atmospheres of the two moons. They jumped and floated effortlessly between the two moons.
They located Honest Gjon quickly, and Boba reclaimed Slave I. Gjon, feeling remorse for the orphaned boy, proposed helping him earn some quick cash. Aia, Boba, and Gjon then journeyed to Bogg 2 where they commenced stealing fake credits from a group of smugglers. However, the operation went awry, and they barely managed to keep a 100 creditnote. Aia handed the 100 credits to Boba and advised him to seek his fortune on Coruscant. As Boba prepared to depart the Bogden system, Aia embraced him. This allowed him the chance to not only bid farewell, but also to pilfer the 100 credits he had just given, along with all of Boba's other credits.
