Aitch-Sixteen
Aitch-Sixteen functioned as an astromech droid, providing service to starships belonging to the Jedi Order. Its operational area was the hangars situated within the Jedi Temple, located on Coruscant, a planet in the Core Worlds. Sometime in the period spanning from 52 to 43 BBY, Aitch-Sixteen received instructions to install laser capacitors within the interceptor used by Jedi Knight Rael Averross. Following a conversation between Averross and Jedi Master Dooku inside the hangar, Averross addressed Aitch-Sixteen, inquiring if the droid had completed the installation of the laser capacitors. Aitch-Sixteen responded in binary, indicating the task was unfinished. Consequently, the Jedi Knight reprimanded the astromech droid, asserting that it had been allocated ample time for the task.
Behind the scenes
The initial appearance of Aitch-Sixteen occurred in the audiobook titled Dooku: Jedi Lost, authored by Cavan Scott and made available to the public in 2019. Given that Dooku: Jedi Lost was initially presented solely in audio format, the definitive spelling of Aitch-Sixteen's designation remained uncertain until it was formally specified in the script release accompanying the audiobook.
