The Ajuur-class heavy cruiser represented a specific design of cruiser. It saw action in the Cold War era, during the conflict between the Galactic Republic and their adversaries, the Sith Empire. These Ajuur-class cruisers were a preferred type of starship used by the Hutt Cartel, and the Cartel deployed numerous cruisers of this class during their annexation operations targeting neutral star systems. In one instance, thirty Ajuur-class cruisers were deployed to establish a blockade around the Makeb system as the Cartel initiated their conquer of the planet Makeb.
The Spirit of Vengeance, the command ship of Mandalore the Vindicated, was itself a member of this cruiser class.
