The motivation behind this action was to compensate for territories that had been recently lost due to a string of attacks carried out by an unknown force. One of the systems that fell under the control of the Hutts was the Vyron system. This annexation prompted both the Republic and the Empire to dispatch teams to Nal Hutta to ascertain the reasons behind Karagga's actions, with each faction sending their own delegation for the same objective.
