Ake's Tavern, a cantina, could be found in the northern market district of Capital City on the planet Lothal. This tavern occupied the ground level of a three-story plastoid structure, characterized by expansive, shadowy windows illuminated by faint orbs, and furnished with items salvaged from retired Republic cruisers.
During Bossk's search for a Dug named Gronson Takkaro, more commonly known as "Shifty," the bounty hunter learned that the Dug might be at this cantina. Ezra Bridger, a Lothal native, assisted him, offering to guide him to the location for a fee of 1,000 credits, with 500 required as an initial payment.
Sometime between Ezra's initial visit and his involvement with the Spectres, the tavern was abandoned. Subsequently, the Gray Syndicate, a minor criminal organization on Lothal, took over the space. A grimy alley led to a metal door at the back of the kitchen, which the Syndicate used as their entrance. Though the outside appeared ordinary, the inside was packed with network terminals used for their criminal activities, along with areas for playing sabacc. Yahenna Laxo, the Syndicate's leader, oversaw operations from a stolen Imperial officer's desk, accompanied by a stylish black network terminal, located at the top of a tight staircase.
