Algunnis asteroid belt
A sizable asteroid belt was in orbit around the Algunnis binary star that existed within the Algunnis system.
Description
The only orbit in the Algunnis system, situated in the Trax sector of the Mid Rim, was occupied by a substantial asteroid belt.
History
Imperial scientists hypothesized that the asteroid field present in the Algunnis system originated during the galaxy's formation. The theory suggests that Algunnis captured planets as it moved through space, and the gravitational forces subsequently shattered these planets, resulting in the creation of the expansive asteroid field. During the era of the Galactic Civil War, this belt was inhabited by several space slugs, but no permanent inhabitants.
