Algunnis system
The Algunnis system, a binary star system, was situated in the Trax sector of the Mid Rim area of the galaxy.
Description
Within the Mid Rim, specifically in the Trax sector, lay the Algunnis binary star system. Instead of planets, a substantial asteroid belt was a feature of the system.
History
Imperial scientists speculated, during the early stages of the galaxy's development, that the Algunnis binary star's gravitational influence caused it to draw in and obliterate nascent planets from nearby systems, forming a vast asteroid field. At the time of the Galactic Civil War, the system was uninhabited, though it did house space slugs.
