Alk'Lellish III, often shortened to Alk'Lellish, existed as a planet within the Alk'Lellish system situated in the Sumitra sector. It served as the original homeworld for the Lellish, and also housed the perilous carnivore known as the ketrann. The ketrann were once hunted by Wilek Nereus.
For many millennia afterward, the world remained a steadfast supporter of the Republic, building its economic strength by promoting its extensive jungle regions as ideal hunting locations for galactic inhabitants. Following the death of King Alaric, this planet, along with the entire sector, seceded from the Republic to become part of the Confederacy of Independent Systems.
When the Galactic Empire was formed, the people of Alk'Lellish began to provide a portion of their earnings to the regional Moff to secure the privilege of controlling the quantity of hunters authorized to kill mature ketrann annually. The Imperial Wilek Nereus ultimately rose to the role of governor of Bakura, while still receiving payments from the Lellish.
