Ambassador-class shuttle

The Ambassador-class shuttle, alternatively called the Ambassador-class luxury shuttle or Luxury Shuttle 001, represented a shuttle design produced by SoroSuub.

Characteristics

Crafted to pamper influential individuals, the Ambassador-class shuttles featured a streamlined design with wings on both the port and starboard sides. They commonly incorporated a spacious area for meetings and leisure, a well-equipped kitchen, refined dining spaces, and generously sized, luxurious private rooms.

This ship, measuring fifty meters in length, was operated by a crew of two (a pilot and a gunner), could accommodate ten passengers, and had a cargo capacity of 100 metric tons. It was armed with two linked double laser cannons that fired forward. Boasting a relatively quick hyperdrive, it possessed the speed to evade a Star Destroyer and the agility to outfly TIE fighters through maneuvers like barrel rolls, sharp dives, and other avoidance tactics.

History

Tereb Ab'Lon utilized an Ambassador-class shuttle to flee the Victory-class Star Destroyer Temerit while positioned over Bothawui. During the era of the Galactic Empire, numerous Ambassador-class shuttles were manufactured at the SoroSuub Sarrano Yards, a modest shipbuilding facility situated on the ground. Following the Battle of Yavin, these yards shifted their production to Cutlass-9 patrol fighters and other starfighters intended for use by the Rebellion.
