Amber functioned as a smuggler within Mazzic's syndicate. Her role was the pilot of the vessel known as the Skyclaw.
In the year 9 ABY, she accompanied Mazzic aboard the Distant Rainbow, together with Griv, en route to a gathering of smugglers orchestrated by Talon Karrde. This meeting took place on the world of Hijarna. During the course of this meeting, after the betrayal of Niles Ferrier was uncovered, Mazzic gave Amber and Griv the order to eliminate the ship thief's Corellian Gunship as he attempted to flee the planet, a task which they successfully carried out.
