Ananta
Ananta represented one of a pair of grassy continents, both covered in plains, found on the Core Worlds planet of Chandrila. Located on this continent was the city of Emita, the sole site on the entire planet dedicated to industrial manufacturing. Furthermore, Ananta housed one of the three fully operational spaceports present on Chandrila.
The manufacturing company ChandrilTech had its base of operations on this continent, with its headquarters situated within Emita. Ananta also served as the primary location for the Gladean State Parks, a system of parks spanning the entire planet and financed through a tax levied on manufacturers. Among these parks, the Gladean Arboretum and the Gladean Gardens Botanical Park of Chandrila were two notable examples, both found within the boundaries of Emita. The Emerald Ocean created a divide between the continent and Hanna City, the capital of Chandrila.
Behind the scenes
The initial mention of Chandrila's two continents appeared in the article "Into the Core Worlds", authored by Paul Sudlow. This article was featured in Star Wars Adventure Journal 7, a magazine published by West End Games in 1995 for use with the Star Wars Roleplaying Game. Later, Ananta received its specific identification in the Star Wars Roleplaying sourcebook titled Strongholds of Resistance (2015), released by Fantasy Flight Games as a component of the Star Wars: Age of Rebellion roleplaying game.
