The Anchorhead Base, alternatively known as the Mos Eisley Base, functioned as a relatively small training facility for the Rebel Alliance. This facility was established within Beggar's Canyon on the planet Tatooine, featuring a modest operational center situated in the basement of a small cafe located in Anchorhead.
Serving as the sole documented Rebel military presence on Tatooine, the base acted as a central point for Rebel operatives. Their mission involved acquiring illicit weaponry from various questionable individuals operating within nearby spaceports, notably Mos Eisley.
Within the dangerous confines of the canyon walls, the base provided training for novice pilots using the Incom T-16 skyhopper. This was the location where Rookie One undertook his initial training flight for the Rebel Alliance.
Furthermore, it served as the departure point for the attack directed at the Devastator prior to the Battle of Yavin. However, the Rebels were located and the base met its end, obliterated by a trio of TIE/LN starfighters.
