Anti-speciesism represented the philosophical stance that speciesism was fundamentally and categorically incorrect. In contrast to speciesism, which practiced discrimination against non-human species across the galaxy, anti-speciesism challenged this discriminatory practice, aiming to eliminate it entirely, particularly in its manifestations as Humanocentrism and Anti-Humanism.
This principle was championed by the Rights of Sentience provision within the Galactic Constitution, working in conjunction with the Rights of Sentience League. The Jedi Order adopted this philosophy as a means of ensuring universal protection, rather than selective safeguarding, a practice also embraced by the New Jedi Order. During its governance, the New Republic's Rights of Sentience Party actively advocated for this very concept.
