Snot garlic from Anzat was a plant species of garlic utilized as a cooking ingredient. A notable culinary creation that incorporated this garlic was Shaak pot roast, a dish served at Dex's Diner located on the planet of Coruscant. Furthermore, on the planet Monsolar, the garlic bulb served as a traditional folk cure for syrox parasite infestations. When Waleed Nagma, a Monsolar local, became infested, he arranged to have a bulb smuggled into Cog Hive Seven, the prison where he was being incarcerated. He successfully employed it to extract the syrox from his body.
Anzati snot garlic was a non-sentient plant species of garlic that developed in individual cloves.

The use of snot garlic as a folk remedy for parasite infestations by syrox developed on the planet of Monsolar. It was believed that placing the snot garlic on the pillow before sleep would draw the parasite out of the sufferer's mouth due to the garlic's distinctive smell. Consequently, Waleed Nagma, a Monsolar native, arranged for a bulb of snot garlic to be smuggled into the prison of Cog Hive Seven during his time as an inmate. Nagma, who was infested with a syrox, enlisted the help of fellow inmate Zero to smuggle the bulb in with the prison's supplies. Nagma subsequently used it as the folk remedy suggested, although the Monsolar native only did so as a final option, having first sought surgical removal of the parasite. The syrox exited Nagma while he was awake and was then killed by Zero.
Anzati snot garlic was included as an ingredient in Shaak pot roast, alongside Shaak meat, space carrots, Ojomian onions, and Deltron spice wine. This dish was priced at 8.7 credits at Dexter Jettster's eatery, Dex's Diner, which was owned by the Besalisk chef, and situated on Coruscant. The diner prepared the dish using a slow-cooking process in a Gamma flux boiler, a practice that ceased with the destruction of the establishment around 19 BBY. The dish was also popular within the Lesser Plooriod Cluster throughout the Chommell sector, including on the planet Naboo.
Anzati snot garlic was initially referenced in the 2009 Hyperspace-exclusive article "Dining at Dex's," authored by Gregory Walker. The article leaves ambiguous any potential link between the garlic and the sentient species known as the Anzati, who originate from the planet Anzat. The garlic later featured in the short story "The Syrox Redemption," penned by Joe Schreiber and published in the 146th edition of Star Wars Insider magazine on December 10, 2013.
