Aquachair

An aquachair was a type of furniture designed with arms. A person could sit in it and place small objects on the arms. During the time of the Galactic Civil War, Tem Eliss, an Iyra sentientologist, kept an old aquachair in his office, which was located within the Sentient Studies Department at the University of Sanbra.

Behind the scenes

The short story "An Extinct Guest," penned by Trevor J. Wilson and Craig Robert Carey, features an aquachair. This story was part of a broader article series called "Alien Encounters," which saw publication in August of 1997 within Star Wars Adventure Journal 14. The narrative describes Tem Eliss sitting in an aquachair and using one of its arms to hold his datapad. This short story is preceded by a brief biography of Eliss, accompanied by a drawing of the scientist by the artist Pablo Hidalgo. The artwork depicts Eliss sitting on a circular device; however, it is uncertain from the story if this is the aquachair or a different kind of seat.
