Aro-GX Security Droid

Aro-GX Security Droids, standing at a height of 1.8 meters, represented a droid model engineered by Aro. These humanoid units boasted a design incorporating body armor, a pair of auto-balance legs, two arms, and wrist blasters. Priced at 9,000 credits, their availability was limited solely to governmental and military organizations. Their introduction was an effort to rival the security droids produced by both Arakyd Industries and Cybot Galactica. However, the Galactic Empire deemed the series "too lethal for commercial sale." This assessment appeared validated when Corellian criminals successfully reprogrammed one of these droids, nearly causing the assassination of the Diktat. The negative publicity that arose from this event forced Aro into bankruptcy, leading to the remaining droids being sold on the black market. Although banned from the Corellian system, numerous Moffs, Admirals, and High Admirals along the Hydian Way illicitly kept security details composed of these models. The bounty hunter known as Cragus 12 possessed an Aro-GX unit identified as GX-99.
