Asation served as the main spaceport and planet of the Gree Enclave. This world was also the home of the Crafter caste belonging to the Gree species. Asation was their primary port.
The starship Rokak'k Baran facilitated travel throughout the Gree Enclave, beginning on this planet. This high-pressure world featured humid wetlands and a slimy environment. It is thought that the Gree used terraforming techniques a long time ago, introducing genetically altered lifeforms to populate the planet's surface. Gree natives of Asation were generally shorter compared to those from Gree itself. A day on Asation lasted 18 standard hours, while a year consisted of 380 local days.
During the Galactic War, the Dread Masters activated a Gree hypergate and unleashed the creature known as the Terror From Beyond.
Count Dooku was sighted on this planet during the Separatist Crisis.
During the Imperial Period, Consul-General Skalus was the official ruler of the Gree Enclave from Asation. In practice the Empire allowed the Gree to govern themselves. A single Carrack-class cruiser was stationed in orbit to give the impression of an Imperial presence.
