A conflict transpired circa 4 ABY involving the Empire of the Hand, the Chiss Ascendancy, and the Ssi-ruuvi Imperium at Lwhekk, which served as the Imperium's capital.
Simultaneously with the Ssi-Ruuvi invasion of the broader galaxy, the Ssi-ruuvi initiated preliminary strikes against the Chiss Ascendancy, their distant neighbor situated in the Unknown Regions. The Chiss strongly opposed the entechment of their people. Consequently, shortly after the Invasion of Bakura, the Chiss Expansionary Defense Force launched a substantial raid on Lwhekk, resulting in the destruction of a significant number of Ssi-ruuvi vessels and shipyards.
Following the Chiss's withdrawal from their retaliatory raid, a New Republic task force, headed by the recently refurbished Shriwirr (renamed Sibwarra by the New Republic), made its appearance. Observing the extensive damage, they sought to establish a truce with the Ssi-ruuk. Upon the failure of these negotiations, the New Republic Fleet engaged the already weakened Lwhekk in another punitive battle, subsequently departing under Mon Mothma's directives to assist in the liberation of Clak'dor VII. The New Republic Intelligence Service surmised that Admiral Ivpikkis held command of the Ssi-ruuvi forces during this confrontation.
It took many years for Lwhekk to completely recover from the damage caused by these attacks.
