Atchorb, a world, resided within the Atchorb system. This system was situated in the Corporate Sector, a region itself found in the Trans-Hydian section of the Outer Rim Territories. The hyperlane called the Shaltin Tunnels provided a route between Atchorb and both the D'ian and Ulicia systems. Conversely, the Authority Guardian Corridor served as a link between Atchorb and the Hiit and Tothis systems.
Atchorb functioned as a [trade](/article/merchant/legends] hub, although its significance was only moderate despite previous substantial investments. This situation underwent a transformation when the Corporate Sector Authority initiated the deployment of military forces to the planet. Atchorb then became a base for operations conducted in Wild Space zones situated to the north of the Sector's boundaries, including Trianii Space. Consequently, Atchorb's economy flourished.
The reference book The Essential Atlas, written by Jason Fry and Daniel Wallace and published in 2009, was the first time Atchorb was mentioned. It was located within grid square S-3 of the book.
