Attack on fringe systems

Following Karastace Gonn's passing, a General who perished near the end of the Cold War fought between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire, Darth Vengean, a member of the Dark Council, seized control of the star systems located at the borders of both the Republic and the Empire. His goal in doing so was to persuade the Council that renewed warfare was necessary.
