The audience chamber served as a space inside the Gillanium Syndicate's main base where the Underlord would receive guests. In the Imperial Era, a conflict erupted in this chamber when a band of lawbreakers, headed by Kaluub Akjee, tried to collect several bounties held by the assassin droid and bounty hunter IG-88 (whose head they had pilfered). Unbeknownst to them, these bounties included the Underlord's offspring, Venga Liss. In the midst of the fighting, IG-88 summoned his starship, the IG-2000, which delivered a new body. Once his head was reattached, IG-88 proceeded to obliterate what was left of the Gillanium Syndicate.
