Venga Liss, an Aqualish male and son of "The Underlord," the head of the Gillanium Syndicate, was employed by the syndicate. During the Galactic Empire's reign, Venga tried to pilfer an Imperial Lambda-class shuttle located on a jungle planet. This action resulted in an Imperial officer contracting IG-88, a droid bounty hunter, to capture him. Yet, during the subsequent skirmish, IG-88 determined that Venga was too bothersome to capture, opting to eliminate him instead. The droid planted a thermal detonator in the shuttle, which then exploded, killing Venga.
