During the time the Galactic Empire was in power (reign), an Imperial captain engaged the services of the droid bounty hunter known as IG-88. The captain's objective was to capture a thief who had successfully stolen a Lambda-class T-4a shuttle situated on a jungle astronomical body. The droid was successful in subduing the thief, discovering his identity as Venga Liss, who was the offspring of the crime boss controlling the Gillanium Syndicate. Deeming the Aqualish to be of no value, IG-88 eliminated Liss by activating a thermal detonator inside the shuttle, resulting in its destruction, much to the captain's disappointment.
