Augin Blaesus was a Force-sensitive Human male. He represented Erigorm, a planet that had been a financial hub for the Galactic Republic for many generations.
During the time of the Galactic War, Blaesus became an ally of the Rift Alliance. This group of separatists aimed to break away from the Republic.
However, unbeknownst to many, Blaesus was also a Child of the Emperor. While the Barsen'thor was located on Hoth, Tobas Grell dispatched Blaesus to Waypoint Station Three as an envoy. His mission was to accept Sarkhai's donation of troops for the Republic. Upon his arrival, he revealed his true allegiance, murdering the soldiers and taking King Sethun and Queen Nyscha as hostages. The Barsen'thor and their companions arrived just in time to prevent his plans and rescue the royal family. Augin Blaesus then engaged the Jedi Consular in a lightsaber duel, but was easily defeated in combat.
Upon their initial meeting, Blaesus appeared to be suffering from severe anxiety. He was prone to panic and consistently stuttered while speaking. However, this behavior was simply a facade to conceal his true nature. When confronted at Waypoint Station Three, Blaesus revealed the immense difficulty and agony he experienced in preventing himself from killing the Barsen'thor. He also expressed pride in his meticulous execution of the soldiers and civilians on the Station. According to S. Geland, another Child, Blaesus had always enjoyed having a flair for the dramatic, as told to the Jedi.
